Long Beach Council

   

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) is for American youth ages 13-17, who have a desire to learn about the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine. Sea Cadets are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy uniforms appropriately marked with the Sea Cadet Corps insignia. The objectives of the Sea Cadet program are to introduce youth to naval life, to develop in them a sense of pride, patriotism, courage, and self-reliance, and to maintain an environment free of drugs and gangs.

Long Beach Division is a division, focusing mainly on the Naval aspect of the Navy. We are sponsored by the Long Beach Council of the Navy League of the United States.

In order to join the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, you must satisfy the following criteria:

-Be between the ages of 13 and 17.

            Younger people (10 ½ through 13 ½ years old)

                may be eligible to join the Navy League Cadets.

-Must be a US Citizen.
-Be a full time student and maintain satisfactory grades (2.00 "C" grade point average).
-Be free of felony convictions.

-Be willing to have fun and learn new things 

Long Beach Division and T.S. Arthur Beaumont

drills twice a month at the

Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Los Angeles

First Year Enrollment: $200.00

(includes $50 refundable uniform deposit)

Yearly renewal is $90.00.

How to Join.

NSCC requires the following forms be filled out by all applicants and brought with you when you visit the unit. 

NSCADM 001 - Cadet Application form

NSCADM 020 - Medical History

NSCADM 021 - Medical Exam

(This must be filled out and signed by your physician.)

Bring a parent/guardian, check or cash (if you decide to join that day) to the next drill.
