USS PELELIU (LHA-5)

USS PELELIU is the last built of the five ships in the Tarawa class. Peleliu provides the Navy/Marine Corps team with one of the largest, fastest, and most versatile ships in the
history of amphibious warfare, capable of launching a coordinating air and sea attack from
one platform. The ship in her 31st year of service and is homeported in San Diego.
She was adopted by the Long Beach Navy League Council on July 7, 2011.
